Affiq is a beautiful black Podenco cross. She's very playful with her kennel friends and loves to lie in the sun and soak up the Spanish heat. However she is cautious of people she doesn't know. When she gets to know you she's very excited to see you and will happy come to you for a treat.

She will need a home with someone who will be very patient with her until her confidence grows, but in return you will have a wonderful little dog.

Asal is very friendly, calm and relaxed. She loves a cuddle and is a very curious dog, she gets along with other dogs and would make a great family pet. However, she is a little afraid of loud noises so would need a calm, quiet home environment.

Bailey is a lovely boy who was surrended by his owners.
He is vey friendly and gets on well with the other dogs in his pen. He loves going out for walks, especially if there's water involved.
He will make a marvellous companion. why not come and see him today, he'll love a walk with you.

Bianco is a tall and pretty white and tan Podenco.
She was found wandering in the Estepona campo.
She was very scared, and it took her a whole week for her to stop hiding behind her little bed whenever anyone came near her. She was terrified. But since we put her in a pen with a little friend, she has gained so much confidence, and has become playful , and happy , and gets so excited when she goes out for walks.
What a lovely young girl she is.

Blake was found in El Padron.

He was really timid when he came in but is getting more and more confident each day.
He is good on his leash and enjoys his walks, though sudden movements scare him a little.
Blake is a friendly soul when you get to know him.

Take Winnie the Pooh's Tigger, shrink him to the size of a galgot, replace his head with that of a podenco, and give him 5 large espressos.
Meet Clancy!
Clancy is not the easiest to describe, as he won't stay still long enough for anyone to get a good look. To spell it out, Clancy is an ultra-high-energy little guy! Once calm, he can walk very well but he certainly requires plenty of exercise and would greatly benefit from a large garden, in which to run. He is very friendly towards both people and other dogs, and ever ready to indulge in play or enjoy some cuddles and affection. Come and meet Clancy and you might be surprised by how soft and sweet that crazy little maniac, you met 15 minutes ago, can become.

Dana was found in Estepona.

She a sweet young girl, who loves to be centre of attention. She's enjoys going for a walk, but doesn't seem to have much idea yet of how to behave on a lead. With a little patience and training we have no doubt she'll get there.
She's loves to have a cuddle and will make a great companion. And did we mention she has the most stunning eyes. Come along and meet her, take her for a walk, we are sure she is just what you are looking for

Dex is such a lovely little dog. He's a small Podenco Orito with wonderful black and tan markings typical of his breed. He's a cheeky little boy who loves to play and cuddle when he's not running around with his kennel friends.

He will sit and lift his paw for a treat (he especially likes sausages). Orito's make great family pets. He's a handsome boy that will make the perfect family pet.

Domingo a pleasant boy, who is a little shy but likes to let you know he's okay by wagging his tail each time you touch him. He likes walking and is getting to know the routine in his new temporary home. He is around 18 months old has a very good temperament and is not bothered by other dogs.


We're always looking for dog walkers, cleaners for our pens and anyone who wants to come just to help out.

Drew is a lovely, friendly boy. He loves attention from the volunteers, especially cuddles.
He enjoys his walks and is very good on his leash.
He gets on well with other dogs, and people of all ages. We think he is very clever, and with the right owner, could become a super new pet for a family

Einstien is a young friendly boy who will play with all the volunteers and dog walkers. Very agile and likes to explore when walking. He is friends with all the dogs in his pen. First to say hi as soon as we arrive.

Ellie is one of three siblings who were caught and brought in to the shelter together. It was obvious that She, and her brother and sister, were not used to any human contact at all. They had been used to having to fend for themselves, rummaging around the bins for food. But within a few weeks, she has learnt to socialize with other dogs and with the volunteers as well. She runs and plays with her new friends in the big garden area, but is still a little hesitant to come forward when we call for walkies. But this pretty girl is getting there.

Fresco was found with his sister Shadow in the campo around San Pedro. He was a baby at around 6 months old. when he was brought in to the shelter
At first he was very timid, as was Shadow, but he now has a big personality . Every morning when we turn up for work, he is one of the first dogs at the gate to say hello . Hes not shy when he sees someone heading into the pen with a lead, or even to clean. He will accept as many cuddles, or affection as you have time to give him. And still he comes back for more.

Jack is a handsome Podenco, mostly white colour with bits of brown. He is still pretty timid, but He can be a bit bossy with the other dogs, this is possibly with having two sisters to deal with. With a little time and care he will be a wonderful companion.

Janette is a stunning mastine mix. She has absolutley beautiful eyes, one a deep brown colour and the other a bright sky-blue colour. She is very intelligent dog and is constantly learning from the other dogs around her. Once she gets to know you, she is a very loyal and affecionate dog. She would thrive in a home with other dogs and children. She is still a little shy and would need some time to get to know you.

Josie is a very pretty chocolate brown Podenco cross. Such a lovely face and slim long legs. She's a little timid with people she doesn't know, but has gained a lot of confidence whilst at ADANA.

She loves to be given treats (especially sausages) and likes to play with her toys and her kennel friends. She requires a home where someone will give her time to grow in confidence. In return you will have a lovely young dog.

This young girl is very playful and loves running and going for long walks. She did not have a very nice previous owner, but has quickly learnt to love and trust the volunteers. She has recently found something she really likes, having her glossy black fur brushed. Why don’t you come along and meet her.

Larz was found alone and dishevelled in Los Reales.
When he arrived he was timid and unsure of his surroundings, but he is gaining in confidence everyday, and loves attention.
He now enjoys going out for a walk with the volunteers and is very good on his leash.
He is a friendly boy with an amazing smile.

Lola is a shy dog and needs a little time before she is comfortable with you. Good on the lead and enjoys walks. She is still trying to get to know her furry friends but is timid and is happy to sit by herself.

Maloos is a very loving affectionate dog once you have gained his trust. He is good with low energetic dogs and will need a lot of company from his owner. He will need a quiet environment but

he will adapt very quickly to his surroundings. He will come for cuddles but is afraid of loud noises

Martha is a very playful young girl, who gets on really well with all of her playmates. She is still slightly timid, but will come to you for a cuddle. And enjoys all of the volunteers taking her out for a walk. She is such a pretty young thing. Come along and meet her for yourself.

Marvin is a lovely boy.
He was found wandering Los Pedregales.

Walks with the volunteers are his absolute favourite thing, and he always seems to have a smile on his face when he goes out.
He is friendly though a little timid at first.

Midnight was found in Estepona.

At first we thought she was pregnant, but it turns out she's just chunky.
She's a very friendly dog, and is happy to walk along with anyone. When she sees someone coming with a lead, she makes sure she is the first in line. She really would blossom more with being in a family environment . Please come and meet her . She has the most glossy coat, which just cries out to be brushes and stroked

Molly was found wandering in Bahia Azul.
She is a sweet natured young dog who loves going out for a walk. She is playful and friendly and would be an asset to any home.

Pablo is a quiet boy, who needs a few minutes to sniff you out and then is happy to be cuddled. He likes to walk and is happy to sit enjoy some attention. He came to us as a pup and is now a year old. It would be so good for him if he managed to find a home.

Patri is a young Labrador Girl, She is you typical lab, always wagging her tail and happy to see anyone who comes to visit her. Great with the other dogs and happy to go with the flow. Good on the lead and happy to walk along with you.

Pegasus was one of the first dogs to enter the shelter after the fire. Him and his sister were very young and you could tell that they had spent a lot of time having to fend for themselves. He has a lot of energy, loves going for as many walks as possible, but does need a firm handler, He is very intelligent and would suit a personal who has had experience with energetic dogs before.

She's a sweet young dog,building up in confidence. Even though she's still very timid, she would make a great pet.

Phoenix is a beautiful little Galgo X Podenco.

She was found with her brother in the mountains.

She is a lovely little girl with loads of personality and she loves to play, especially with her brother Pegasus.

Ranger is one of Hollies puppies.
He has grown into sweet natured and gentle young boy. He is playful, as young dogs should be, and loves to go out for a walk.
He does enjoy a cuddle. We also know that he is very intellegent as well It wouldnt take long to teach him anything. He is one of the favourites of many of the volunteers . When he is out walking, he often looks at his walker to tell him what they want him to do, or tell him he is a good boy. Dont miss out on having him as part of your family
