ADANA receives no funding from any governmental or local council organisations and relies entirely on donations and contributions from the public.
Our monthly outgoings consist of medical supplies, vet's fees, food, three salaried permanent full time members of staff......
We need a minimum income of 10,000 euros per month simply to continue to exist.
Of course, we are always striving to improve the facilities and welfare of the abandoned dogs we look after and so we are always fundraising.
The pandemic has meant that nearly all our usual fundraising events, such as the annual Dog Show and Christmas Fair have been cancelled for the past 18 months.
In order to move forward, ADANA has been granted a 75 year lease of the land and premises of our current site at Los Pedregales, on the condition that we gain a Zoological License to operate. In order to be granted this license, the following improvements are required:
Remove and replace the existing sewage system with a specified depuradora (sewage treatment tanks), reconstruct the ground work and connect to the existing sewage pipework with improvements.
Total Cost: 65,000.00 euros
Construct and install a new roof extension over eight pens on the South side, covering the rear patios, install a new drainage system for eight pens patios direct to the new sewage depuradora, interlock with the main building and install rain guttering throughout.
Total Cost 85,000.00 euros
Install a new fire alarm system, provide fire plan and signs, complete with emergency lighting, provide outside hours lighting linked to the standby solar power system, improve the security camera system and improve the security fencing throughout. Apply for Zoological Licence.
Total Cost 9500.00 euros
ADANA receives no funds from the government or local authorities. It can only continue its work through the donations the public make.

Ways You Can Help Us Raise Funds
If you have a café or bar, or your own business or restaurant, would you be able to take one of our collection boxes? If you would like to do this, please contact Susie on firstname.lastname@example.org These collection boxes help us bring in much-needed funds.
We have official volunteers who will come to collect the boxes, empty them, then replace them for you. These volunteers have official ID badges and are the only people who you should allow to collect the boxes.
