New isolation pens

When a new arrival comes to ADANA, usually hungry, dirty and terrified, it has to be put in a pen on its own until the dog's temperament has been assessed and a suitable pen with other dogs is found. Sometimes a dog needs to be on its own because it is unwell or recovering from illness. ADANA has a number of these 'isolation' pens outside of the main pen area but with an increasing number of arrivals as well as the more intense vet care we now give our dogs, there is always a demand for more.

We therefore decided to use the money given by our generous anonymous donor to provide three more spacious pens with insulated igloo kennels to provide warmth and shelter. We also decided to replace the old metal drinking basins with new tough white plastic ones which are more hygienic, easier to clean and easier for the dogs to use.
