Moroccan Night - 11 Sept

Celebrations continued with a swing for ADANA'S 25th Anniversary Year...firstly a very successful Dog Show in May followed by a concert with jazz singer celebrity, Madeline Bell. Next came Opera in the Park and this month, a Moroccan Night hosted by John and Henry at Cortijo la Vizcaronda, Duquesa.

The candlelit dinner in the cortijo gardens was a huge success with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. Moroccan dress was encouraged, beautiful Sashazda was booked to belly dance and Mandy Lovett and husband, Gerry, gave up a night to sing for free for ADANA.

Once again, John and Henry let ADANA run the bar and our wonderful bar girls, Trish and Carol, kept everyone happy with a constant flow of drinks. Teresa and Gloria, looking exotic in their Moroccan outfits, did the rounds with the raffle books.

There were two very special raffle prizes this year, generously offered by Firmm: 2 lots of tickets for 2 to join a guided whale and dolphin watching trip in the Straits off Tarifa! Third prize was a bottle of Cordoniu Reserva cava donated by Robbie's Restaurant in Estepona.

The party ended with almost all of the 90 guests dancing away under the stars! Not surprisingly tickets sold out and John and Henry were flooded with emails from guests saying it was the best party ever and they will be back for another ADANA party next year!

Well what would we do without them? Enormous thanks as always to Sonia and Hermione Longman for not only organising this event and managing to put on such a fabulous party year after year, but for their continued support in every aspect of our work.
