Rain was predicted on February 14th the day of our annual "Lunch in the Square" and contingency plans were made to hold the event in the vacant flat over the bookshop (what a luxury!).
In the event a communal "think positive" seemed to do the trick and around 40 diners were warmed by a hearty pork and bean stew and delicious apple pies and cream.
There was also a Bring and Buy and a raffle of a cookery book, donated by Virtus Business Centre of San Pedro and won by Eileen, our Treasurer.
This is always a lean time of year for us but around €400 were added to the ADANA purse. Thanks as always to Hermione and Sonia for masterminding , logistics and persuasion; events don't happen without a lot of planning, forethought and energy!
