Estepona Dog Walk - 9 April

A large crowd of ADANA volunteers, members, supporters and the public took over the streets of Estepona on Sunday, 9 April, for their fourth annual Great ADANA Dog Outing. Eleven dogs from the ADANA kennels were walked from the Palacio de Congresos, Estepona, along the Paseo Maritimo  as well as many families with their canine companions, many of whom had previously been adopted from ADANA.

Just under 2,000 euros in donations was raised including a large sum raised by veteran fundraiser Helen Oldfield and a donation of over 200 euros, birthday gift money from 'Petra' who had decided to ask for money for ADANA instead of presents.

'Thanks to events like this and public generosity, as well as our volunteers, we are able to get funds to carry on with our work of caring for and finding homes for abandoned and unwanted dogs', said Reg Winkworth, ADANA Treasurer.

Reg also thanked ADANA Secretary Lyn Bessant, who organised registration, Andy Sprake and Vesa and Tiina  who helped get the ADANA dogs kitted out ready for the walk and gave special thanks to Volunteer Sandra Walker Kincaid who selected and prepared the ADANA dogs chosen for the walk.
