Colour:Brown and White

Height in cm:50

Year of Birth:2012

Arrival Date: 20/01/2017

Yoda is a podenco aged about five years old on arrival. He was found in La Alberdina Los Mosalejos.

Yoda has probably been used as a hunting dog but as he is getting older his owner must have decided he needed to be replaced by a younger model, this happens frequently with the Podenco breed.

Yoda is a very gentle boy, he has the sweetest nature ever!!
Yoda is very good with other dogs and he will do anything to avoid conflicts whatsoever.
He loves to go out for a walk and he enjoys human contact very much. He is the kind of dog that is always overlooked. He is not the pushy kind of dog, he will wait in the background till it is his turn. He is a real softy.

Podenco's make extremely good pets - they are calm and very affectionate - Yoda deserves a good home.

UPDATE 23/2-2018
Today Yoda and 2 of his pen-mates, Elsa and Lula, went to the coffee morning in Estepona Port. Yoda hadn’t left the shelter since he arrived over a year ago and he was so excited that it was his turn to go on an adventure today! He was amazing in the car, he immediately lay down in the back and was quiet for the whole journey.
As soon as they got out of the car, he and his pen-mates happily went to go and sniff around and experience all the new smells. At times a noise would startle Yoda and he would jump in surprise, but he would quickly calm down again and carry on walking.
At the café, there were quite a few people and a few new dogs to meet as well. Yoda was in his element, he went right up to an Adana volunteer, put his paws on his lap and asked for a piece of cake! He was happy to sit with his front paws on anyone’s lap if they would give him a tickle… or even better a treat! We are so proud of how well he adapted to being outside of the shelter and how well-behaved he was. He is one very special boy!
